white: As with the Pine Tree, 

the seed must now be planted 

and nourished to develop strong roots. 

 orange: The sun is beginning to rise. 

As with the morning's dawn, 

only the beauty of the sunrise is seen 

rather than the immense power.

Officially a color belt now! *whew* I got hit in the head 3 times with my new belt, and I now blame a potential concussion to my lack of studying in the past week. Also, one of my grad student friends sent me a very accurate depiction of what proper grad school is like:
